The following 3 photos will give you a view of the Sunday afternoon service, which begins at 2 PM and lasts about an hour.
Some of the children from our local church come to this mission service. In addition, 4 adult workers from church, and Sheila and I participate. It is encouraging to us to have 19 new (not part of the local congregation) people attending our services. All of these have attended at least 3 or 4 times and 14 of these are regular attendees. This includes 3 mom's with children, a young couple with 1 child, and another young couple with 3 children. All of these have come through Yang Hee's English classes and our public school teaching contacts.
Jesus, What a Beautiful Name
It is a blessing to see all of them sing the children's songs, then all join in singing a worship chorus.
And it is especially encouraging to see the light of understanding and agreement on the faces of the adults as the message is presented.
Psalm 1: 1, 2, 3
Notice the diligent repeating of the English as Huw Thomas brings the message in this clip. He will be away from Korea from late September to December as he starts his graduate program at Oxford University. He plans to conduct his research into some area of the political situation in N Korea. Originally from Wales, he and Yang Hee met in Chicago at a Christian conference focused on North Korea.
With Jesus in your heart, you can love.
All of the services are in English, but Yang Hee translates into Korean.
Somebody's Knockin at Your Door
Learning some of the names for Jesus.
When we first started, we only did the crafts with children under 10, but we discovered that the older children wanted to participate in the crafts and activities. Even dads get involved.

We are pleased that the people stay around to visit after we dismiss.

Only God knows how many seeds you guys are planting and what fruit may be harvested as a result. What an honor and privilege for you to be able to be a part of such a magnificent opportunity. As with any great opportunity, there's a price to be paid, but eternal souls are worth any price, right?
Yes, we do consider it a great honor and privilege to be part of this ministry, especially as we read more of the history of Korea and their longterm struggles to obtain both political and spiritual freedoms.
Mike says that it looks like ya'll are having a blast! Thanks for all the videos!
