With Family in Alabama

After leaving the Assembly, we traveled to our home in Alabama and stayed there 11 days.

We are very grateful to the wonderful family who has been caring for our house since we have been in South Korea.  While they visited relatives in another state, our immediate family of 15 moved into the house for these 11 days,

During the weekend the total grew to 28.   The 28 were spread throughout the house,
in our camper,
in our daughter's camper,
and in our son's camper.

Thankfully there was plenty of good help in the kitchen.

These are Sheila's 4 brothers.
This was the first time the 5 siblings had been together in nine years.
The one with the long blond hair looking at Sheila is not a brother,
but as you can see, he thinks he is a special part of the clan.

 Our daughter, Christy Brock,
and twins, Morgan (red)
and Katelyn (green).

Christy's husband Ken had already returned to Prineville, Oregon to be present for the weekend services at the church they pastor.  They moved from Alabama to Oregon one year ago when the Lord led them to minister there.

Our son Spencer, wife Shayla, daughters: Lauren (black), Ashlyn (blue), Emma (black and white)
They live in Helena, Alabama, 20 miles from our home.

Our daughter Amy, her husband Daniel Brown,
daughter Kelsey and son Eli.
They live in Atlanta, Georgia, 150 miles from our home.
And we live in Iksan, South Korea, 7500 miles from our home.

Five granddaughters singing Jesus Messiah
at our home church in Bessemer, Alabama.
While we were home, we were privileged to attend 2 services.  We miss our church family and thank them very much for the wonderful lunch on Sunday.

Our family always enjoys game time

 And music all over ---
This is the bunk room where about 10 of the kids slept and played.

Outdoor concert for those on the lower deck.

The immediate family
(only missing Ken who had to leave 2 days before)

Seven joys of our lives

The kids saying
"Hello, Grandmother and Granddad"  and "Thank you"
for the new Korean outfits they are wearing.

Traditional Korean Dresses
Prior to the assembly, Yang Hee and her aunt accompanied Sheila to a Hanbok (traditional Korean) dress shop in Seoul.  We were told there are about 1000 such shops within a few blocks of the one we visited.  They helped Sheila select fabric for 2 dresses which were made and delivered a week later.
Sheila and granddaughter Katelyn wore the dresses at the Women's Missionary Band Ladies Luncheon at the assembly (see the previous post).

While all the granddaughters were in Alabama they had this photo shoot.
They enjoyed dressing up and having some fun too.

Wonderful pictures. It was nice to get to me your son and his family via the photos. :-)
The girls' song at church was BEAUTIFUL! What sweet harmony. And it's so neat to have them interested in music and making melody around the house. I imagine that bunk room has had PLENTY of music permeate the walls since Joe's been living there.
Thanks for posting. It's good to hear from you.
