Easter

Easter Sunday was a beautiful day here.  It is still very cool weather, but the trees and flowers are budding and blooming.  The service at church was very sacred.

Sister Bishop we thought of you and the Women's Missionary Band when we saw many of the ladies in beautiful white dresses.

After service, each person (children and adults) was given one undecorated boiled egg and a bag of rice candy.

During the afternoon service at the mission center, each child made a cross of folded paper.  Since some of  the children have no Christian background, it is a challenge presenting the Resurrection message.  But we know that God's Word is powerful.

After the service, we had an Easter egg hunt in the park.  It was the first Easter egg hunt for these children.  We had used treasure hunts in our English teaching classes and learned they really liked the activity.
The pastor's wife found the scripture wraps for the eggs and made them for the children.

Although the weather is still quite cool, it is a pretty spring.  The city is filled with cherry trees

Everything and everyone are beautiful! The video tells me that it is "private" so I can't see it.

Beautiful pictures! I'll have to wait until I get back to the USA to view the video--my Internet connection here in South Africa isn't fast enough to download it. Your Easter sounds great! What wonderful memories you're making for yourselves AND for the people of South Korea. God bless you guys as you continue to labor there.
